Common Questions

Frequently asked questions.

The cost varies depending on type (full, partial, implant-retained), materials, and the complexity of your case. We provide a detailed, itemised quote at your free consultation — no surprises. Most private health insurance with extras cover will contribute; we'll discuss your rebates with you at the appointment.

Typically 3–6 appointments over 2–4 weeks, depending on the case. Using digital scanning and CAD design speeds up the process considerably compared to traditional impression methods. We'll give you a clear timeline at your first appointment.

There's usually an adjustment period of a few weeks as your mouth adapts. Some minor soreness or pressure spots are normal and easily resolved with adjustments — which are included in your treatment. We never rush the fitting process, and our goal is that you leave the clinic comfortable and confident.

Clean daily with a soft denture brush and denture cleaner — not toothpaste, which is too abrasive. Remove overnight and store in water or denture-soaking solution. Rinse after meals where possible. We provide full written care instructions with every set of dentures.

No referral is needed. Dental prosthetists are primary contact practitioners — you can book directly with us. If we identify anything that needs input from a dentist or specialist, we'll let you know and can recommend practitioners in the area.

No — dental prosthetists are a separate, AHPRA-registered profession specialising exclusively in the design, construction, and fitting of dentures, mouthguards, and other removable dental appliances. For denture-related care, a dental prosthetist is the specialist.
